The Parenting Plan in Collaborative Practice

This workshop, which will include didactic, discussion, and experiential components, will explore the nuts and bolts of creating a “deep and durable” parenting plan from both the legal and child developmental perspectives.  We will explore such topics as:

 

·   The essential elements of the Collaborative parenting plan

·   Typical landmines and points of impasse

·   The development of a shared narrative

·   The pros and cons of various access plans

·   When to offer options and when to hold back

·   What lawyers look for in a well-crafted parenting plan

·   The role of the child specialist in the parenting planning process

·   Protocols for communication with and review by attorneys along the way

When: 9am-4pm (lunch on your own)

 

CEU’s: 6 hours for psychologists and social workers
