KATE’S EDUCATION

Since earning a master’s degree in clinical social work from Columbia University in 1989, I have completed several additional intensive trainings- including in child, adolescent, and adult psychotherapy (individual, couple, family), separation and divorce, parenting coordination, divorce mediation, and Collaborative Law. Below is a list of the  training institute programs (mostly multi-year) in which I  earned advanced-level certificates in psychotherapy sub-specialities . Below that is a longer list- a representative sampling of the types of continuing education programs that have deepened my practice over time, and which I continue to attend- both as a learner and as a trainer. Some (such as mediation, parenting coordination, and Collaborative Divorce trainings) have meaningfully contributed my various areas  sub-specialty expertise– particularly in separation and divorce.
